Laboratory Technician

Responsibilities

• Implement the management system and ISO/IEC 17025
• Carry out tests according to international standards and client-specific methods
• Troubleshoot testing problems and seek managerial assistance when necessary
• Participate in testing capability development under senior supervision
• Maintain testing team operations and complete PT/ILC samples on time
• Ensure regular sample testing is completed within the required turnaround time
• Assist in the selection, acceptance, and maintenance of new instruments, equipment, and consumables
• Perform calibration, verification, and performance checks of textile testing lab equipment

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering, or a Diploma in Textiles
• 2–3 years of experience in a textile testing laboratory
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 requirements
• Familiarity with textile standards including Colour Fastness, Flammability, and Fiber Content
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
• Strong analytical mindset and computer proficiency

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous textile testing training
• Experience with Accreditation Body Audits
