About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine physical and analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished product including particle size distribution, pH, emulsion stability, and specific gravity
  • Collect, record, and analyze manufacturing and quality data in graphical form
  • Monitor and approve line start-ups and clearances for liquid and granular production
  • Support formulation chemists in batch closure in D365 and assist with inventory management
  • Catalog, label, retain, store, and retrieve samples per retention and storage procedures
  • Process documentation for inbound and outbound raw material loads
  • Monitor and assist with correcting non-conformances during production
  • Follow all applicable SOPs, work instructions, safety procedures, and quality policies; report deviations and safety concerns
  • Maintain good housekeeping and comply with environmental, health, and safety requirements including proper use of PPE

Requirements

  • High school diploma with related laboratory experience, or associate/BA/BS in a science field
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Competent basic math skills and ability to follow written procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate professionally
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, and climb ladders and stairs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous laboratory, manufacturing, or quality experience preferred
