About the role

Responsibilities

  • Collect biological samples including blood, urine, stool, and sputum in a safe and hygienic manner
  • Perform a wide range of laboratory tests including hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, and serology
  • Operate, calibrate, and perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment such as auto-analysers and centrifuges
  • Ensure all test results are accurately entered, verified, and reported in a timely manner
  • Maintain detailed records of tests performed, reagents used, and equipment maintenance logs
  • Comply with laboratory safety standards, infection control protocols, and biomedical waste management guidelines
  • Monitor inventory of reagents and consumables to prevent stockouts
  • Coordinate with physicians and nursing staff to support integrated patient care

Requirements

  • DMLT (Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology) or BMLT (Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Technology) from a recognized institution
  • Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on experience in a clinical laboratory, diagnostic centre, or hospital setup
  • Proficiency in performing hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, and urine analysis tests
  • Working knowledge of Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and basic computer skills
  • Strong understanding of biosafety guidelines and infection control standards
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet reporting deadlines
  • Good communication skills in Kannada, Hindi, and/or English
