About the role
Responsibilities
- Collect biological samples including blood, urine, stool, and sputum in a safe and hygienic manner
- Perform a wide range of laboratory tests including hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, and serology
- Operate, calibrate, and perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment such as auto-analysers and centrifuges
- Ensure all test results are accurately entered, verified, and reported in a timely manner
- Maintain detailed records of tests performed, reagents used, and equipment maintenance logs
- Comply with laboratory safety standards, infection control protocols, and biomedical waste management guidelines
- Monitor inventory of reagents and consumables to prevent stockouts
- Coordinate with physicians and nursing staff to support integrated patient care
Requirements
- DMLT (Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology) or BMLT (Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Technology) from a recognized institution
- Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on experience in a clinical laboratory, diagnostic centre, or hospital setup
- Proficiency in performing hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, and urine analysis tests
- Working knowledge of Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and basic computer skills
- Strong understanding of biosafety guidelines and infection control standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet reporting deadlines
- Good communication skills in Kannada, Hindi, and/or English
