Responsibilities

• Train in preparing histologic slides from tissue sections for microscopic examination and diagnosis
• Assess tissue adequacy for testing
• Perform quality control checks on produced materials
• Complete equipment maintenance and logs
• Control operations of equipment and systems
• Assist in accessioning and maintenance of lab logs
• Practice safe work procedures and follow all SOPs

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree from a four or two-year college or university
• Certification eligible
• Proficiency in MS Word
• Ability to obtain ASCP HT/HTL certification within six months of one-year work anniversary

Preferred Qualifications

• Histology-specific technical skills
• 2 years of laboratory experience
