Laboratory Technician II

Responsibilities

• Perform wet chemistry and PCB analysis on inbound/outbound QC samples
• Maintain compliance with Waste Analysis Plan (WAP)
• Complete and electronically file QC/QA documentation
• Review test results against waste profile sheets
• Process and package waste samples for off-site testing
• Communicate off-specification materials and safety concerns to management
• Conduct toolbox talks and area inspections

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Environmental Sciences preferred
• 2+ years of laboratory experience
• 3+ years of experience as a Lab QC Technician
• 40-hour HAZWOPER training
• Knowledge of gas chromatography and/or ICP-OES
• Strong knowledge of chemical compatibilities
• Proficiency with Windows-based programs
