Laboratory Technician II

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and quality results through sample preparation, analytical testing, and data characterization
• Perform routine daily and weekly verification and calibration of laboratory equipment and instrumentation
• Conduct direct sample analysis through methods such as wet chemistry
• Execute preventative maintenance on equipment according to required protocols
• Manage hazardous waste generation, transport, and disposal in compliance with company policy
• Monitor inventory levels for necessary supplies and reagents
• Maintain standards and reagents and perform required analytical calculations
• Contribute to sample receipt processes, including data entry and sorting

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• 5+ years of experience with analytical instrumentation
• Knowledge of ISO 17025 or other laboratory quality assurance/control standards
• Ability to routinely lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, bend, push, pull, stoop, and crouch up to 50% of the time

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, or another applicable applied science
• Previous experience working in a professional laboratory environment
