About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform routine analysis using standard laboratory equipment including ICP, XRF, and auto titrators
- Carry out analytical preparations and perform necessary calculations
- Use laboratory balances for accurate sample weighing
- Ensure all procedures follow QA guidelines and maintain ISO 17025 accreditations
- Organise and plan daily workloads while maintaining housekeeping and equipment calibration
- Promote health and safety regulations within the laboratory environment
- Store samples in accordance with established systems
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with ICP instrumentation
- GCSEs in English, Maths, and Science
- Working knowledge of laboratory practices
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently or within a team
- Ability to follow complex instructions with a keen eye for detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System)
- Previous experience in a team-focused laboratory environment
