Laboratory Technician I

Responsibilities

• Receive, process, analyze, and send samples for internal and external clients, reporting both ordinary and extraordinary analysis results.
• Verify the quality of solutions, reagents, materials, and equipment used in each analysis to ensure result reliability.
• Maintain and update area records, including the SAP QM module and shift handover logs.
• Review and follow up on analytical methods, procedures, and work instructions.
• Support the 5's program to optimize laboratory resources.
• Meet productivity KPIs and participate in performance dialogues.
• Comply with ESHA activities and participate actively as part of the HACCP team.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects to optimize laboratory processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field (e.g., QFB).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial laboratory settings.
• Technical knowledge of spectrophotometry, thermogravimetry, volumetric analysis, titration, and pH measurement.
• Proficiency in applied statistics for the interpretation of analytical results.
• Knowledge of quality systems and tools such as HACCP, 5's, and continuous improvement.
• Proficiency in SAP QM or a strong willingness to learn the module.
• Technical English skills (approximately 40% reading comprehension for methods and technical data sheets).
• Availability to work in rotating shifts.
