About the role
Responsibilities
- Carry out routine testing and analysis following written work instructions
- Perform sample identification, preparation, and dilutions
- Log samples accurately into LIMS
- Catalogue and store samples efficiently
- Assist personnel in locating, retrieving, disposing of, or returning samples
- Maintain and record equipment calibrations
- Prepare standards and reagents
- Interpret and evaluate results
- Monitor equipment maintenance and laboratory supplies
- Follow Quality system protocols and report discrepancies
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a laboratory environment is an asset
- Good hand/eye coordination for handling samples and equipment
- Proficiency with computer software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to work a rotating schedule including days, afternoons, and evenings
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
