Laboratory Technician Environmental

Responsibilities

• Perform sample reception, identification, preparation, and dilutions
• Set up analytical batches and conduct analysis
• Manage batch Quality Control and use LIMS for accurate sample logging
• Catalog and store samples efficiently for easy retrieval
• Calibrate and set up laboratory equipment prior to analysis
• Prepare standards and reagents
• Monitor equipment maintenance and laboratory supplies
• Follow all company health, safety, and environmental policies
• Maintain a clean working environment and follow Quality system protocols

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Post-secondary education in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Environmental Science is a strong asset
• Good hand-eye coordination for handling samples and equipment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Ability to work rotating shifts (Days, evenings, and some weekends)
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
