About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform sample reception, identification, preparation, and dilutions
- Set up analytical batches and conduct analysis
- Manage batch Quality Control and use LIMS for accurate sample logging
- Catalog and store samples efficiently for easy retrieval
- Calibrate and set up laboratory equipment prior to analysis
- Prepare standards and reagents
- Monitor equipment maintenance and laboratory supplies
- Follow all company health, safety, and environmental policies
- Maintain a clean working environment and follow Quality system protocols
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Post-secondary education in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Environmental Science is a strong asset
- Good hand-eye coordination for handling samples and equipment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to work rotating shifts (Days, evenings, and some weekends)
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
