Laboratory Technician - Chemistry

Responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory testing following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Conduct sample preparation, extractions, and digestion of organic and inorganic substances
• Coordinate chemistry testing samples with the Central Processing team
• Test to applicable standards such as ASTM, CSPA, ISO, and SSC
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly Quality Assurance/Quality Control checks on equipment
• Assist in maintaining laboratory chemical and equipment inventory
• Support calibration, verification, and ISO 17025 related activities
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

Requirements

• Associates Degree in Chemistry or related scientific disciplines preferred
• Experience working in a lab setting following strict safety standards
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Ability to follow detailed written or oral instructions
• Ability to work independently under direct supervision
