Laboratory Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform analyses on hydraulic binders and other materials related to the cement production process for quality control and continuous improvement.
• Conduct tests on cement samples and raw materials according to Mexican and ASTM standards.
• Ensure laboratory facilities are clean, organized, and meet appropriate conditions for testing.
• Manage laboratory equipment by performing internal verifications and following calibration and maintenance programs.
• Maintain accurate daily records of test results in logs and generate required analysis reports.
• Monitor and manage laboratory inventory, including reagents, standards, and consumables.
• Adhere to the Quality Management System under NMX-EC-17025-IMNC-2018 and all safety and environmental policies.

Requirements

• Degree or technical career in Chemistry, Construction, Materials, or a related field.
• 1+ years of experience in an industrial laboratory setting.
• Experience performing physical testing of cement.
• Basic proficiency in English.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle high-stress situations.
• Manual dexterity and physical stamina for executing time-sensitive tests.
