Laboratory Technician - Automotive Technology

Responsibilities

• Assist with the direction and oversight of automotive classroom laboratory training operations
• Set up and coordinate laboratory activities in collaboration with instructors
• Provide instructional support to students performing laboratory activities
• Maintain and inventory classroom and laboratory areas, tools, and supplies
• Maintain the departmental fleet and update automotive computer network systems and scan tools
• Ensure the training environment meets all safety and OSHA regulations
• Support departmental activities alongside instructors and the department chairperson

Requirements

• High school diploma (or equivalent) with 5 years of automotive technology experience, OR an Associate's degree with 3 years of automotive technology experience
• Current ASE certification in a minimum of 4 areas
• Ability to obtain Master ASE certification within one year of hire
• Basic computer skills and professional leadership abilities
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
