About the role

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, process, and test finished product samples using instrumental and wet chemistry procedures.
  • Perform daily process monitoring tests throughout the plant and document all results.
  • Enter and report data using a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
  • Perform light maintenance and calibration on laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain adequate testing supplies and notify supervisors when re-ordering is necessary.
  • Adhere to all safety, FDA, GMP, EPA, and OSHA standards and guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized working area, including washing and storing equipment.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and record-keeping skills.
  • Proven troubleshooting and housekeeping skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience operating standard lab equipment such as pH meters, balances, and spectrophotometers.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Previous experience working in a plant or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mathematical skills for performing lab testing calculations.
