Laboratory Technician

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for analysis and perform basic laboratory testing
• Ensure all tasks are completed within time restraints and relevant analysis standards
• Calibrate laboratory equipment and perform necessary calculations for analytical preparations
• Highlight anomalies in results, sample types, or sample behavior
• Maintain compliance with Quality Management Systems and ISO 17025 standards
• Control consumable stock and perform general laboratory housekeeping duties
• Create and maintain media standards and reagents
• Adhere to all occupational health, safety, and environmental policies

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move heavier loads with assistance
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills
• Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet deadlines under pressure

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree in a scientific field
• 0-3 years of experience in an analytical laboratory environment
• Experience using a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
