Laboratory Technician

Responsibilities

• Lead daily analytical workflows, including planning lab activities and performing feed proximate, calorimetric, and gas chromatography/gas analyses.
• Maintain and monitor RUSITEC (Rumen Simulating Technique) and other in vitro systems through precise feeding and sampling schedules.
• Synthesize and summarize laboratory data to deliver accurate reports to the Laboratory Manager.
• Manage laboratory logistics, including inventory procurement, equipment maintenance, and instrument troubleshooting.
• Provide technical assistance to research team members, partner laboratories, and customers.

Requirements

• BS in Animal Science, Dairy Science, or a related field.
• Experience with analytical workflows and data synthesis.
• Ability to perform equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work limited weekend shifts (2–3 hours) during specific RUSITEC trials.

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift experience.
