Laboratory Technician 1

Responsibilities

• Perform various laboratory testing including titrations, ICP analysis, and viscosity testing
• Prepare and aliquot samples for required tests and load samples on automated instrumentation
• Conduct routine daily and weekly verification and calibration of equipment and instrumentation
• Perform direct testing through wet chemistry and execute necessary calculations
• Conduct preventative maintenance on laboratory equipment and instrumentation
• Manage hazardous waste generation, transport, and disposal in compliance with company policy
• Monitor inventory levels for supplies and reagents and maintain standards
• Assist with sample receipt, including opening packages, sorting mail, and data entry
• Participate in shift handovers to ensure smooth transitions between teams

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is required
• Previous laboratory experience is preferred
• Ability to stand for intervals of up to 8 hours
• Manual dexterity to operate equipment and handle glassware
• Ability to communicate clearly and follow strict safety and quality guidelines
