Laboratory Team Leader

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage laboratory team members specializing in volatiles analysis
• Oversee volatiles air laboratory operations to ensure compliance with EPA, state, and local regulatory standards
• Direct the analysis of volatile organic compounds using GC-MS and related methodologies
• Analyze laboratory data to identify trends and implement corrective actions
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Manage laboratory equipment maintenance, calibration, and inventory
• Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions
• Prepare and review technical reports and environmental compliance documentation
• Monitor budget allocation and resource planning
• Implement process improvements to enhance laboratory performance

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on laboratory experience
• 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience in a laboratory setting
• Strong knowledge of laboratory operations and analytical techniques
• Proficiency in regulatory compliance and safety protocols (TNI, DOD, ISO standards)
• Proficiency with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with budget management and resource allocation
• Project management experience
• Certification in laboratory management or relevant technical field
• Familiarity with quality assurance and continuous improvement methodologies
