About the role
Responsibilities
- Monitor laboratory operations to support day-to-day manufacturing and customer requirements
- Provide direction and leadership to the laboratory team
- Lead and direct Quality Control processes in accordance with defined KPIs
- Participate in LEAN deployment on site, including 5S, SPs, CIS, and Kaizen
- Prepare ICP calibration standards with independent verification
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory instrumentation
- Distinguish between high-quality and invalid data sets
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, an Engineering discipline, or a related field
- 2 years of experience in an industrial laboratory environment
- 2 years of experience with Laboratory Information Management
- 2 years of experience applying Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Measurement System Analysis (MSA)
- 2 years of experience mitigating laboratory hazards (e.g., compressed gases, strong acids, ergonomic factors)
- 1 year of experience using SAP
- 1 year of experience using Labware LIMS version 6
