Laboratory Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervise laboratory staff, functions, and customer service
• Delegate tasks to sample preparation and laboratory technicians
• Monitor laboratory productivity and sample progression
• Manage consumable stockholding and report requirements
• Arrange return of samples and waste materials to clients
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety procedures
• Maintain accurate records for sample submission, preparation, and archiving
• Ensure timely delivery of results to clients
• Maintain clean, functional, and uncontaminated work areas
• Manage team performance to align with business goals

Requirements

• Successful completion of Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor examination
• Appointment as a Statutory Supervisor
• Diploma of Laboratory Technology
• Understanding of analytical procedures
• Understanding of sample preparation procedures
• Familiarity with CCLAS & G6
