About the role
Responsibilities
- Managing the receipt, booking in, and storage of laboratory samples and equipment
- Ensuring items are tracked accurately and are easy to locate
- Supporting the lab by retrieving samples quickly and efficiently
- Carrying out stock checks and ordering consumables
- Liaising with internal teams and customers regarding deliveries and queries
- Supporting the safe dispatch of samples, including Dangerous Goods
- Disposing of petrochemical products after testing
- Maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and service delivery
Requirements
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confident communicator
- Ability to manage workload and prioritise in a busy environment
- IT literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Experience in a laboratory, stores, warehouse, or production environment is beneficial
- Forklift licence or experience is advantageous
