About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform and optimise laboratory techniques, including extracellular vesicle research methods, cell culture, Western blotting, and qRT-PCR
- Process, catalogue, and store human tissue and biofluid samples in accordance with ethical and biosafety requirements
- Maintain accurate experiment records, sample workflows, and REDCap databases to support high-quality research outputs
- Contribute to experiment planning, troubleshooting, result interpretation, and the preparation of figures for publications
- Engage with multidisciplinary collaborators across hospital and university sites through meetings and training
Requirements
- BSc (Honours) or equivalent in biological or biomedical sciences
- Proficiency in molecular biology techniques including Western blotting and qRT-PCR
- Experience in mammalian cell culture
- Strong data management skills using spreadsheets, REDCap, or statistical software
- Ability to hold a valid Working with Children Check
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple experiments and administrative tasks concurrently
