About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of assigned Test & Validation projects, including cost, quality, and timing
  • Coordinate all aspects of testing within the laboratory for high-technology electronic and hydraulic steering systems
  • Convene weekly committees to review and approve incoming laboratory requests
  • Schedule and forecast T&V programs and integrate them into the general laboratory resource schedule
  • Coordinate required 3rd party testing and document all results
  • Assign individual laboratory tests to technician staff and track daily/weekly workflow
  • Interface with Engineering Program Managers and Division leadership regarding priorities and incoming work
  • Provide regular status tracking and workload-to-resource pipeline estimations to leadership

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field (Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred)
  • Proven experience in Project Management
  • Knowledge of basic quality tools such as Six Sigma
  • Proficiency with statistical analysis tools
  • Ability to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the automotive industry
  • Experience in component qualification, test management, and planning
