Laboratory Manager

Responsibilities

• Perform routine tasks and simple analysis of wastewater samples using prescribed procedures
• Ensure proper written and electronic documentation of all test results including QA/QC
• Maintain and troubleshoot analytical equipment in accordance with quality assurance compliance
• Compile and report analysis data including QA/QC data for review
• Perform periodic audits of analytical logs to ensure federal regulation compliance
• Manage lab housekeeping, sample management, and proper disposal of lab waste

Requirements

• Associate’s degree with an emphasis in Chemistry required
• 1-2 years of prior water/wastewater laboratory work experience
• Experience with TNI Standards and quality management programs
• 2-5 years of experience in a related position in a similar environment
• Proficiency in advanced areas such as metals or nutrients analysis
• Ability to obtain Grade I Laboratory Analyst Certification within 1 year

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related science discipline
• Experience with Hach WIMS or equivalent software
