Laboratory Manager

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day laboratory operations and oversee sample analysis for hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials.
• Interpret analytical data to determine waste and product acceptability in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.
• Manage laboratory documentation, including certificates of analysis and material safety data sheets.
• Oversee the sample management program, including receiving, shipping, storage, and disposal.
• Train and mentor new and existing chemists and laboratory technicians.
• Maintain and repair analytical equipment and manage the procurement of new instrumentation and supplies.
• Perform periodic audits of analytical logs to ensure regulatory compliance and accuracy.
• Collaborate with Operations, Sales, and Marketing to manage workloads and identify new recycle product opportunities.

Requirements

• BS in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
• 5 to 8 years of experience in the hazardous waste industry or a related field.
• 24-Hour HAZWOPER Training.
• Department of Transportation (DOT) Training.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 to 2 years of supervisory or management experience.
