Laboratory Manager

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage a laboratory team consisting of three chemists and one assistant, including activity planning and organization.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols for yourself and your team.
• Oversee analytical characterization and controls for incoming waste, treatment quality, and environmental regulatory compliance (effluents, emissions, etc.).
• Validate treatment pathways and compliance of discharges in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Guarantee the correct application of analytical methods, procedures, and work instructions.
• Supervise the laboratory equipment maintenance plan while optimizing costs.
• Collaborate with various departments including Commercial, Industrial, and technical support, as well as external subcontractors.
• Assist in the preparation and participation of regulatory audits and inspections.

Requirements

• Master's degree (BAC+5) in Chemistry, Environment, or an Engineering degree.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a similar role, ideally within the waste or environmental sectors.
• Strong technical skills in analytical chemistry.
• General knowledge of environmental and/or decontamination industries.
• Valid driving license (Permis B).
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, scientific curiosity, and a rigorous, methodical approach.
