About the role
Responsibilities
- Run a geotechnical and construction materials testing lab
- Supervise and mentor laboratory staff
- Maintain proper and complete laboratory data
- Manage lab certification and maintenance
- Maintain and purchase equipment
- Control laboratory budget and workflow
- Communicate with Project Managers regarding laboratory operations and project documentation
Requirements
- Experience in soil, asphalt, and concrete testing or equivalent
- ACI certifications: Concrete Strength Testing Technician, Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade I, Aggregate Testing Technician (Levels 1 & 2), Aggregate Base Testing Technician, and Masonry Laboratory Testing Technician
- NAQTC certifications: Sampling and Density, Aggregate, Asphalt, and Asphalt Extended tests
- Current valid driver’s license
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience
- Professional registrations or certifications
