Laboratory Director

Responsibilities

• Drive the sustainable financial and commercial performance of the environmental laboratory business unit
• Lead strategic and business planning to achieve budgeted financial performance and profitable growth
• Manage CAPEX, OPEX, cost control, and labor management to meet business needs
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships and execute sales and marketing strategies for new client acquisition
• Oversee staff engagement, professional development, and succession planning to build team capabilities
• Ensure strict compliance with regulatory, legislative, and ALS policy requirements, including ISO17025 and NELAC standards
• Foster a culture of quality, safety, and efficiency through technological and methodological innovation

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Science and/or Business
• Minimum 10 years of previous laboratory and/or business experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a management role
• Ability to travel as required
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at a computer for extended periods
