Laboratory Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Support the operation and supervision of architecture and digital fabrication laboratories.
• Provide basic technical assistance to students and professors regarding software, equipment, and digital tools.
• Assist in the preparation and organization of materials, models, prototypes, and resources for classes and workshops.
• Supervise the proper use of 3D printers, laser cutters, and other specialized equipment.
• Maintain the order, functionality, and availability of laboratory equipment and workspaces.
• Collaborate on inventories and the control of materials and supplies.
• Participate in academic projects, exhibitions, competitions, and special activities for the School of Architecture, Art, and Design.
• Support visual documentation and the presentation of student projects.

Requirements

• Degree in Architecture, Industrial Design, Urbanism, or related fields.
• Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Suite, Lumion, or Enscape.
• Knowledge of 3D printing, laser cutting, modeling, and digital file preparation.
• Experience in architecture studios, university laboratories, or professional design environments.
