Laboratory Chemist

Responsibilities

• Execute defined test plans and datasheets, evaluating test performance and sample operation to ensure accurate results.
• Record, explain, and complete comprehensive test reports.
• Serve as a lead for simple test programs, managing project status, deadlines, and accuracy.
• Examine customer samples and adapt test setups, sample preparations, and instruments to meet specific needs.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and ensure the cleanliness and organization of the laboratory area.
• Communicate with management and technical staff to suggest improvements for instruments, processes, and efficiencies.
• Adhere to safe chemical hygiene practices and company security protocols.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Chemistry or a related discipline (e.g., Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Material Science).
• 2–3 years of experience in a consumer testing laboratory environment.
• Hands-on experience operating GC, HPLC, or similar analytical instruments.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high quality.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with customers and internal teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with international testing standards.
• Ability to incorporate automation into day-to-day testing procedures.
• Experience partnering with Engineering teams to complete technical projects.
