Laboratory Assistant

Responsibilities

• Assist with laboratory analysis in line with SGS methods, procedures and quality requirements
• Support sample receipt, bottle preparation, testing activities and general laboratory workflow
• Help the Senior Laboratory Technician manage workload and provide support across other areas
• Perform quality control checks, instrument calibrations and accurate record keeping
• Assist with sample pick-ups and drop-offs for key clients when required
• Maintain a safe, organised and compliant working environment following quality, health, safety and environmental procedures

Requirements

• Previous experience in a laboratory environment (desirable)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to record information accurately
• Ability to understand and follow technical procedures and safety requirements
• Valid Victorian full driver’s licence
• Reliable and able to work as part of a team
