Laboratory Assistant

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory analysis in line with SGS methods, procedures and quality requirements
• Support sample reception, bottle preparation, testing activities and general laboratory workflow
• Carry out quality control checks, instrument calibrations and accurate record keeping
• Assist with sample pick-ups and drop-offs for key clients when required
• Represent SGS professionally on site and during client visits
• Work collaboratively with the Shepparton team to ensure analysis and data are completed by required due dates
• Contribute to a safe, organised and compliant workplace by following SGS quality, health, safety and environmental procedures

Requirements

• Previous experience in a laboratory environment is desirable
• Strong attention to detail and ability to record information accurately
• Ability to understand and follow technical procedures and safety requirements
• Valid Victorian full driver’s licence
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
