About the role
Responsibilities
- Maintain timely storage and disposal of sample solutions for the department
- Perform sample rack washing and leaching
- Prepare instrument solutions and sample dilutions as directed
- Carry out all required record-keeping and documentation
- Prioritize workload to meet production targets and turnaround times
- Prepare instrument batches and update priority/rush lists
- Adhere to all safety protocols, quality procedures, and SOPs
- Assist in maintaining production records and perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school completion or equivalent
- Strong MS Office skills, specifically MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to lift up to 20lbs
- Ability to sit or stand for up to 7.5 hours per day
- Manual dexterity to perform repetitive tasks
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle shift work (day, afternoon, and graveyard, including weekends)
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary chemistry courses
- Minimum of 1 year laboratory experience in analytical chemistry or a related field
