About the role

Responsibilities

  • Maintain timely storage and disposal of sample solutions for the department
  • Perform sample rack washing and leaching
  • Prepare instrument solutions and sample dilutions as directed
  • Carry out all required record-keeping and documentation
  • Prioritize workload to meet production targets and turnaround times
  • Prepare instrument batches and update priority/rush lists
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, quality procedures, and SOPs
  • Assist in maintaining production records and perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school completion or equivalent
  • Strong MS Office skills, specifically MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to lift up to 20lbs
  • Ability to sit or stand for up to 7.5 hours per day
  • Manual dexterity to perform repetitive tasks
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle shift work (day, afternoon, and graveyard, including weekends)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-secondary chemistry courses
  • Minimum of 1 year laboratory experience in analytical chemistry or a related field
