Laboratory Assistant I

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed staff in preparing specimens such as blood tubes and tissue for testing
• Receive and deliver specimens to appropriate workflows and labs
• Maintain organization of samples through physical and electronic storage or disposal
• Accurately enter patient data into the Laboratory Inventory Management System (LIMS)
• Prepare samples for shipment and maintain inventory of lab materials
• Clean laboratory equipment and benches
• Adhere to HIPAA/PHI privacy and departmental expectations

Requirements

• High School Diploma required
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Proficiency with Google Suites and Microsoft Office
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Science-related degree
• Less than 1 year of industry-related experience
