Laboratory Assistant Chemist

Responsibilities

• Support all chemical laboratory operations at the plant, ensuring correct and quality implementation of procedures
• Monitor and calibrate laboratory equipment and water/steam samples
• Monitor and support the operation of water treatment, liquid waste, sampling, and chemical dosing systems
• Check the performance of the Water-Steam Cycle and closed cooling systems
• Identify problems, suggest corrective actions, and provide technical instructions to operations personnel
• Participate in inspections and ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations
• Develop and improve chemistry procedures, methodologies, and programs
• Participate in risk management and the implementation of Health, Safety, and Environmental measures

Requirements

• Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
• At least 2 years of experience in industry or an analytical laboratory
• Experience with laboratory instruments and analytical methods
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Excellent knowledge of English and Greek (written and spoken)

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with water treatment and liquid waste systems
