About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare client samples for analysis and perform routine laboratory maintenance
- Process samples in a timely manner to meet client turnaround times
- Complete data entry into LIMS, including calculations and required documentation
- Follow established safety regulations and ALS health and safety policies
- Monitor inventory of spare parts, consumables, and chemicals
- Assist with the calibration, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting of basic lab instruments
- Clean glassware and laboratory equipment
- Perform sample shelving, archiving, and disposal
- Prepare reagents, standards, and reference materials
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Good English communication skills (auditory, verbal, written, and reading)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to stand for a full shift
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work various shifts, including days, afternoons, graveyards, and weekends
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a fast-paced production or preparation environment
- Knowledge of high school science courses or basic laboratory safety
- Experience working with chemicals or in a laboratory setting
