About the role

Responsibilities

  • Prepare client samples for analysis and perform routine laboratory maintenance
  • Process samples in a timely manner to meet client turnaround times
  • Complete data entry into LIMS, including calculations and required documentation
  • Follow established safety regulations and ALS health and safety policies
  • Monitor inventory of spare parts, consumables, and chemicals
  • Assist with the calibration, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting of basic lab instruments
  • Clean glassware and laboratory equipment
  • Perform sample shelving, archiving, and disposal
  • Prepare reagents, standards, and reference materials

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Good English communication skills (auditory, verbal, written, and reading)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs on a regular basis
  • Ability to stand for a full shift
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to work various shifts, including days, afternoons, graveyards, and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced production or preparation environment
  • Knowledge of high school science courses or basic laboratory safety
  • Experience working with chemicals or in a laboratory setting
