About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform sample preparation, including weighing and traying samples under supervision
- Manage sample disposal and retrieve samples from storage
- Assist analysts and train other Laboratory Assistants
- Maintain routine laboratory maintenance tasks and store samples in coolers
- Follow established procedures and schedules to ensure analytical quality
- Comply with all ALS health and safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Perform repetitive tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous laboratory experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs on a regular basis and stand for a full shift
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, afternoons, graveyards, and weekends
