About the role
Responsibilities
- Process and analyze samples according to established methods and procedures
- Perform routine and quality control tests on samples
- Register, store, and dispose of samples following prescribed procedures
- Operate laboratory instruments and maintain equipment logbooks
- Adhere to safety regulations, MSDS protocols, and good laboratory practices
- Plan testing activities based on sample volume and monitor chemical stock levels
- Evaluate results against quality control norms and report deviations
- Assist in method validation and development of new analytical procedures
- Maintain quality system standards and perform health and safety inspections
Requirements
- Grade 12 education
- Minimum of 3 years relevant laboratory experience
