About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform accurate analysis of wastewater samples and moderate complexity laboratory experiments to ensure environmental compliance.
- Develop and implement innovative testing protocols and process improvements to optimize laboratory and production quality.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot issues and coordinate complex test setups.
- Assemble, calibrate, operate, and maintain advanced laboratory and mechanical equipment, including electronic measuring devices.
- Maintain meticulous documentation of laboratory procedures, quality control records, and results for regulatory audits.
- Utilize advanced laboratory software and instruments to monitor water quality parameters and analyze experimental data.
- Support plant operators with technical activities and assist in the cleaning of potable water tanks.
- Train and supervise junior laboratory technicians on sampling methodologies, equipment use, and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Laboratory Analysis or a related field.
- 2 to 4 years of practical experience in a laboratory, equipment testing, quality control, or environmental setting.
- Proficiency in the handling and maintenance of laboratory equipment related to mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical systems.
- Strong analytical skills with practical knowledge of algebra and trigonometry.
- Basic programming knowledge.
- Effective technical communication skills, including the ability to write clear reports and present technical data.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to operate sophisticated laboratory equipment with high precision and reliability.
- Ability to interpret and apply technical documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and quality standards applicable to wastewater treatment.
- Familiarity with computer-based tools and software for data analysis and documentation.
- Proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational challenges.
