Laboratory Analyst I

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze environmental samples using standard analytical techniques and EPA methodology
• Perform routine laboratory tasks including sample preparation, chemical analysis, and data calculation
• Record and report data and any unusual test occurrences to the supervisor
• Conduct routine instrument maintenance and general housekeeping in the work area
• Maintain compliance with Eurofins Quality Assurance (QA), EHS, and GMP/GLP standards
• Aliquot and weigh samples and wash glassware as required
• Work under close supervision using routine and standard methods

Requirements

• Associate of Science degree in Chemistry or equivalent experience
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
• Strong mathematical proficiency, including the ability to use calculators and algebraic formulas
• Computer skills; experience with LIMS software is a plus
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Ability to work independently on the 3rd shift (9pm-5am or 10pm-6am)
• Must be able to work in Earth City, MO

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-2 years of analytical or sample preparation experience in an environmental laboratory
• Experience with complex instrumentation such as Gas Chromatography (GC), GC/MS, ICP, or Atomic Absorption
