Laboratory Analyst

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze environmental samples using standard analytical techniques and EPA methodology
• Perform routine laboratory tasks including sample preparation, chemical analysis, and data calculation
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation such as gas chromatography and ICP
• Record and report analytical data and any unusual test occurrences to the supervisor
• Adhere to all EHS, QA, and GMP/GLP standards to ensure laboratory safety and quality
• Perform general housekeeping and glassware washing to maintain a clean work area

Requirements

• Associate of Science degree in Chemistry or equivalent experience
• Proficiency in basic mathematics, including algebra, multiplication, and division
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to read, write, and speak English professionally
• Computer literacy; experience with LIMS software is a plus
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Ability to work independently and follow written or verbal instructions within time constraints

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-2 years of analytical or sample preparation experience in an environmental laboratory
• Familiarity with organic preparation, metals analysis, or wet chemistry
