Laboratory Analyst, Environmental Health & Safety

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze samples with accuracy and precision in accordance to SGS' analytical SOPs
• Perform routine operation, maintenance, and calibration of laboratory instruments and equipment
• Assist with validation and MDL studies
• Investigate and prepare responses to client inquiries and CARs
• Input and maintain technical information to support laboratory operations
• Maintain Laboratory Notebook where applicable
• Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Chemistry or a similar scientific discipline
• 0-2 years of experience in Analytical Chemistry Laboratories or 3 years of relevant sample preparation experience
• Understanding of basic analytical chemistry principles
• Ability to follow safe laboratory practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or a similar scientific discipline
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in Analytical Chemistry Laboratories
