Laboratory Analyst

Responsibilities

• Perform mineral separation tests including grinding, flotation, and cyanide leaching
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as rod mills, stirred mills, and pH meters
• Prepare test work reagents and ensure all samples are properly accounted for
• Maintain accurate calibration, production logs, and equipment records
• Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a clean, safe work environment
• Follow established procedures to ensure high analytical quality

Requirements

• Recognized degree or technical diploma in Chemistry or Sciences
• Strong analytical and mechanical skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Manual dexterity for repetitive tasks and ability to stand for a full shift
• Physical ability to lift 25 kg (filled 20 litre containers)
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous laboratory experience in a metallurgical or analytical chemistry field
