Laboratory Analyst

Responsibilities

• Analyze environmental samples for PFAS using HPLC-mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) instrumentation
• Perform data review and peer review of laboratory-generated data to ensure high quality
• Manage the entire analytical process, including instrument setup and sample analysis following EPA methods
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair laboratory equipment
• Assist with the development of new methodologies and the updating of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Compile and deliver data packages to clients while meeting strict deadlines
• Maintain accurate documentation for calibration, inspection, and repair activities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline
• Experience with Shimadzu LC-MS/MS instrumentation and Insight software
• General knowledge of organic chemistry fundamentals
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task, work independently, and maintain high attention to detail
