About the role
Responsibilities
- Execute fresh concrete tests including slump, temperature, unit mass, air content, and specimen preparation.
- Perform hardened concrete testing such as de-molding, identification, and compression or flexural strength testing.
- Manage laboratory inventory and ensure the cleanliness and proper maintenance of equipment and facilities.
- Monitor and record environmental conditions and curing tank requirements for sample control.
- Capture and input all test results into internal databases for statistical analysis and reporting.
- Conduct sampling of cement, water, additives, or aggregates, and perform basic aggregate tests (granulometry, density, absorption).
- Perform inspections and sampling at aggregate mines and transport specimens between plants and laboratories.
- Report all results impartially to the Quality Analyst and alert the team to any deviations.
Requirements
- Knowledge of laboratory facilities and specialized concrete testing equipment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and email communication.
- Valid driver's license and completion of a defensive driving course.
- Familiarity with safety equipment usage and laboratory safety protocols.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and NMX-EC-17025 standards.
- Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
