About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive support to attorneys throughout all phases of labor and employment litigation
- Communicate professionally with clients, witnesses, and counsel, including Korean-speaking individuals
- Review, translate, and manage Korean-language documents and correspondence
- Prepare and file documents with federal and state courts via PACER/ECF
- Assist with wage and hour claims, discrimination, harassment, and class/PAGA actions
- Conduct legal research and assist with drafting pleadings, discovery, and subpoenas
- Finalize legal briefs, including cite-checking and formatting
- Manage case files, calendars, and litigation deadlines
- Coordinate document collection, review, and production
- Support proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB)
- Assist with arbitration, mediation, and trial preparation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate
- 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in labor and employment law
- Korean language proficiency (written and verbal)
- Working knowledge of federal and state court filing procedures and PACER/ECF
- Experience supporting employment-related discovery (personnel files, payroll, ESI)
- Strong research, drafting, and document management skills
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to communicate professionally in Korean in a business or legal environment
- Experience with class actions, PAGA matters, and arbitration
- Proficiency in Excel
