Labor and Employment Staff Attorney

Responsibilities

• Support attorneys in representing employers in employment-related disputes and high-volume litigation support
• Manage and execute discovery, including drafting and responding to document requests, interrogatories, and subpoenas
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, pleadings, and motion drafts
• Assist with case management, fact development, and document review
• Support employment advice and counseling matters, including providing day-to-day HR guidance to clients
• Draft, review, and update employee handbooks, policies, and workplace documents
• Translate and adapt employment policies and legal materials for Korean-speaking clients
• Communicate directly with Korean-speaking clients on employment-related matters
• Collaborate with attorneys and team members across offices

Requirements

• Fluency in Korean (reading, writing, and speaking)
• 2+ years of experience in labor and employment or general litigation
• Admission to the California Bar
• Strong experience with litigation support, discovery, and written work product
• Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Law firm experience
• Experience supporting employment litigation on behalf of employers
• Experience drafting or reviewing employee handbooks or HR policies
• Interest in a non-partnership-track, high-impact support role
