Lab Technician

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for analysis
• Complete laboratory documentation accurately
• Perform equipment maintenance according to established procedures
• Monitor non-standard results with the coordinator
• Perform various maintenance tasks in the laboratory work areas
• Assist in special studies in the laboratory and in the field

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent with coursework in Chemistry or Biology
• 0-2 years of experience in a related laboratory environment
• Experience with analytical chemistry equipment such as gas chromatograph or calorimeter
• Proficiency in mathematical concepts including probability and statistics
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
• Bilingualism (spoken and written)

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to computerized lab equipment and related systems
• Ability to meet minimum qualifications for NELAC or State Certified Labs
