About the Company

The Kelleher Lab at Syracuse University studies the biophysics of mammalian oocytes and early embryos. By combining quantitative live-cell microscopy with concepts from soft matter and active matter physics, the lab seeks to understand how cellular structures self-organize. The research sits at the interface of physics, cell biology, and reproductive medicine, with direct applications to IVF and human fertility.
