Lab Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform quality tests on all incoming raw materials as specified in reception procedures
• Sample raw materials from bulk trucks, tankers, pallets, big bags, and totes
• Conduct various laboratory analyses on raw materials according to the control plan
• Manage receiving documentation and sign for deliveries, noting any quality or quantity objections
• Inform the Laboratory Manager of any quality deviations from product standards
• Maintain laboratory inventory, including chemicals, consumables, and testing kits
• Perform first-level maintenance on area-related equipment
• Prepare samples and necessary documentation for external laboratories
• Assist in maintaining high levels of daily cleanliness and adherence to site GMPs

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Science background or continuing education preferred
• Working knowledge of food safety
• Experience in a food-related manufacturing or GMP environment preferred
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and computer skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physical ability to perform pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs
